I attended the Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition & Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness annual meeting and got to hear about all the great work being done in the state. There is still so much to do.
My mom served 30+ years as a public school teacher (high school math). I had her for algebra and remember the day I called her "mom" in class instead of "Mrs. Szott." So happy to receive this support.
Last night I hit two BBQ events for organized labor.
Great Labor Day turnout in White River Junction. Did some campaigning alongside lots of great folks.
Learned a bit more about renewable energy at Lt. Gov. Zuckerman's monthly film series. The film was "Reinventing Power: America's Renewable Energy Boom" and was followed by a panel discussion with Rob Kidd (Sierra Club), Rep. Sarah Copeland-Hanzas, Lt. Governor Zuckerman, and Olivia Campbell Andersen (Renewable Energy Vermont). Exciting leadership on many fronts. Even got a picture with Rachel Stevens of Sierra Club VT!
Looking forward to to making progress on the 2018 Environmental Common Agenda

Took the family to see the amazing Nina Turner and to hear from VT gubernatorial candidates.
Attended a screening of ZEROWEEKS hosted by Lt. Governor David Zuckerman.
Attended the "Leaders & Libations" launch party for the Vermont chapter of the New Leaders Council. They are going to do great things.
